After taking a small hiatus from posting, I’m back and will be posting on here much more often. Now that my last semester of college is almost done, I have much more time to focus on getting more posts done.
My first post back will be about the events that happened yesterday with the St. Louis Cardinals. First, one of, if not THE, greatest pitcher in Cardinal history retired yesterday. Chris Carpenter decided it was time to retire from the game he has always loved. I think it was the right decision. Carp went out knowing he will go down as one of the greatest pitchers the Cards will ever have. Second, Mike Matheny received a three-year extension to his contract to be the manager couldn’t be happier with this decision. Performance of the team is everything when it comes to the manager, and in Matheny’s two seasons, the Cards have gone to the NLCS and the World Series…I’d say that’s good enough for an extension. Things are looking up for the Birds as we await next season. The “Wacha, Wacha, Wacha” craze will certainly continue and young prospects are plentiful for the Cardinals!
Till next Time!
Let’s go Blues!!
